Trisha Krishnan ( born 4 May 1983)is an Indian film actress and model, who primarily appears in Tamil and Telugu language films, but has also appeared in Hindi language films. She was noticed after winning several beauty pageants like the Miss Madras contest (1999), which marked her entry into filmdom. During her career, she has received three South Filmfare Awards,establishing her as one of the leading actresses of the South Indian film industry.
After her first appearance in the 1999 Tamil film Jodi, in a supporting role, she won a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her first lead role in the 2002 film Mounam Pesiyadhe. She later rose to fame starring in the successful films, Saamy (2003) and Ghilli (2004) in Tamil cinema and Varsham (2004) in Telugu cinema,for which she secured her first South Filmfare Best Actress Award before getting the same award 4 times. She made her Bollywood debut in the 2010 film Khatta Meetha opposite Akshay Kumar.She was seen in her career best performance in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010) for which she won Vijay Award for Favourite Heroine and was nominated for Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award and many other awards.

Dalma Kurian, better known by her stage name Mithra Kurian is an Indian film actress who appears in Malayalam and Tamil films. During their quest, the two encounter a rivaling classmate who once made a long forgotten bet with them, a funeral that goes impossibly out of control, and a wedding they must crash.
The film's soundtrack and background score was composed by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography was handled by Manoj Paramahamsa. It is a remake of Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots (2009), which itself was adapted from the novel Five Point Someone – What not to do at IIT! by Chetan Bhagat. The film was produced by Gemini Film Circuit, who had purchased the remake rights of 3 Idiots in early 2010. A lengthy and controversial delay in casting caused commencement of filming to be pushed to a year later. Filming took place for a total of eight months in various locations in Europe and India.
The film saw its worldwide release on 12 January 2012 to highly positive reviews and garnered the second biggest opening for a Tamil film.A dubbed version in Telugu, titled Snehithudu, was released on 26 January 2012 in Andhra Pradesh which also received good response.

Ileana who was suppose to be present at the Audio Launch of the Movie Nanban in Tamil at Coimbatore, Directed by Shankar was not seen in the occasion. Other Actors including Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth. Sathyaraj and SJ Surya were present among the others.
This created a lot of rumours about the actress, but to sort out all the issues the actress spokesperson said that she was not feeling well after working continuously for a Hindi Movie, so she couldn't attend the event at Coimbatore.
The actress was then seen at the audio launch of the same movie in Telugu titled "Snehithudu", she was sporting a black dress in which the actress looked cute. Ileana plays the lead role opposite Vijay in the film. The movie is a remake of 3 Idiots(Hindi).

The film was extensively shot in Mumbai and Goa. The Muhurat shot was pictured in August 2011 and the regular shooting commenced on 2 September 2011 at Shamshabad airport in Hyderabad. The second schedule began in Mumbai on September 18, where Mahesh Babu joined the crew Filming was held for 74 days and completed on 10 December 2011.
Dubbing works were done in Shabdalaya Studios. It was revealed by Puri Jagganadh that the film would be dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam languages and that they will be released 26th January 2012.The first look and teaser trailer of the film were released on 11 November.
